Regional Pricing Assignment

ipstack resolves the country and region behind a visitor's IP address, which a Beam agent uses to decide which regional price or currency a customer sees at checkout. On a trigger such as a new cart or signup, the agent reads the resolved location, applies your approved pricing rule, and updates the order or account record with the assigned region. It notifies the pricing team if a region has no rule set yet. Orders where the resolved country conflicts with the billing address, or where currency conversion looks unusual, are routed to a person before the order is finalized.

IP to Timezone Mapping

ipstack returns the timezone associated with an IP address alongside its location data. A Beam agent reads this when scheduling a notification, a callback, or a support response, applies your approved rule for converting to the recipient's local time, and updates the scheduled record with the correct time. It notifies the relevant team once the schedule is set. Cases where the resolved timezone conflicts with a time zone the customer already provided, or where the lookup returns no result, are left for a person to confirm before anything is sent.

Currency and Language Defaulting

ipstack's location data lets a Beam agent set a sensible default currency or language for a new visitor or account before they've stated a preference. On signup, the agent reads the resolved country, applies your approved default rule, and updates the account record with the chosen currency or language, notifying the customer of the setting applied. Accounts in regions with more than one common language or currency, or where the resolved country doesn't match a shipping address already on file, are routed to a person to set manually rather than guessed.
