Access and Compliance Gating

IPinfo.io resolves the country tied to an IP address, which businesses use to allow or restrict access under regional rules, such as sanctions lists or licensing restrictions. A Beam agent reads the resolved country when a user signs up or requests a restricted resource, applies your approved access rule, and updates the account with an allowed or restricted status, notifying the compliance queue when a restriction applies. Cases where the IP resolves near a border region, conflicts with billing information, or falls under a rule your team hasn't defined yet are routed to a person before access is granted or denied.

Network Type Classification

IPinfo.io classifies the network behind an IP address as, for example, residential, business, hosting, or mobile. A Beam agent reads this classification for records that need it, such as a new lead or an order flagged for review, and applies your approved rule for how each network type should be handled, like treating hosting provider traffic as higher risk. It updates the record with the classification and notifies the relevant queue. Classifications that come back unclear, or where the network type doesn't fit any rule your team has set, are left for a person to decide.

Regional Reporting Tags

IPinfo.io's location data lets a Beam agent tag records by country or region for reporting, without a person manually looking each one up. On a trigger such as a new signup or order, the agent reads the resolved region, applies your approved tagging rule, and writes the region to the record so dashboards and reports group activity correctly. It notifies a data owner if a new, unrecognized region appears. Records with conflicting location signals, such as a shipping address in one country and an IP in another, are routed to a person to resolve before the tag is applied.
