Board and Item Status Updates

Infinity stores work as boards made up of items, each with fields such as status, owner, and due date. A Beam agent watches for a condition the account defines, for example a linked task closing elsewhere or a deadline passing, and updates the corresponding item's status or field in Infinity following the approved rule. It can also add a note recording what changed and why. Items where the linked source is missing, contradictory, or not covered by an existing rule are left for a person to update instead of being changed on a guess.

Cross-Board Item Filing

Work in Infinity often needs to move between boards, for example from an intake board to a project board once approved. A Beam agent reads the approval or status that starts the move, files the item onto the destination board with the fields the template expects, and leaves a reference back to where it came from. It follows the account's rule for which fields transfer and which get reset. Items missing required fields, or moves that do not fit an existing rule, are routed to a person before anything is filed.

Due Date and Owner Reminders

Infinity items carry due dates and assigned owners, and Beam agents can watch those fields for the conditions an account cares about, such as an item nearing its date or sitting with no owner. When a condition is met, the agent posts a reminder to the owner or the team channel the account has set up, following the timing rule in place. It does not reassign work or change deadlines on its own. Items with unclear ownership or conflicting dates are flagged to a person to resolve instead of the agent guessing.
