PDF Merge and Split

Input files that look incomplete or out of order, for instance a missing page in a multi-part upload, get held back with a note to a person instead of merged as they are.

File to PDF Conversion

iLovePDF converts common office file types, like a word processor document or a spreadsheet, into PDF format. A file arriving in a format the account doesn't accept for storage or sharing is what a Beam agent converts, reading back the resulting PDF and replacing or attaching it to the record in place of the original. A source file that fails to convert cleanly, say a corrupted upload, stays on the record in its original form, flagged for a person to resolve rather than filed as a broken PDF.

PDF File Size Compression

iLovePDF reduces a PDF's file size while keeping it readable, which matters when a document needs to be emailed or uploaded somewhere with a size limit. A file exceeding the size limit of wherever it's headed next gets compressed automatically by a Beam agent, which reads back the smaller version iLovePDF returns and swaps it in on the record in place of the original. Compression that would push a document below readable quality leaves the original file attached instead, with a note to a person that it still needs resizing by hand.
