Postcode to Address Lookup

A UK postcode on its own usually maps to several addresses, right down to the individual flat or unit, and Ideal Postcodes returns the full list for a given one. A Beam agent calls this lookup when a form or order needs a complete address and only has a postcode on file, reads back the matches, and writes the selected address onto the customer or order record once the account's rule for picking a single match applies. A postcode returning several unit-level addresses with nothing else to narrow it down gets left for whoever is filling in the form to choose.

Nothing on file for what's typed, perhaps because it's a very new building, means the agent falls back to a plain text field instead of forcing a choice from an empty list.
