Hive holds order, shipment, and fulfillment status across the tools a D2C brand connects to it. A Beam agent reads status changes as they land, such as a shipment marked delivered or a fulfillment task marked complete, and applies the customer's approved rule to update the linked order record, for example closing an order once delivery and payment both confirm. The agent notifies the operations owner when it makes the change. Orders with conflicting statuses between systems, or missing carrier confirmation, are routed to a person to sort out before the order record is closed.

Vendor and Carrier Exception Alerts

Fulfillment work in Hive depends on vendors and carriers reporting status on time. A Beam agent watches for exceptions the customer defines as routine, such as a shipment with no carrier update after 48 hours or a vendor task left open past its due date, and posts a notification into the relevant Hive task or channel. Where the rule allows, it also updates the task owner field so the right person sees it first. Exceptions that involve a disputed charge, a damaged shipment claim, or an unclear vendor response are left for a human to handle rather than resolved automatically.

Cross Tool Task Handoffs

Hive centralizes tasks that originate in other systems a brand uses for fulfillment, from a warehouse tool to a support inbox. A Beam agent reads a triggering event, such as a support ticket tagged as a shipping issue, and, where the connector and account permissions allow it, opens or updates the matching Hive task with the relevant order details filled in. This removes manual data entry between systems for the operations team. Tasks that lack a clear matching order, or reference a customer record the agent cannot confirm, are routed to a person to open and assign manually.
