Draft transcripts and subtitles from uploaded recordings in Happy Scribe, then route low-confidence lines to a human editor for correction.
Automatic Transcription
Happy Scribe turns uploaded audio or video into a written transcript, timestamped and searchable, which is the starting point for captions, show notes, or a written record of a meeting. A Beam agent can read a finished transcript once Happy Scribe has processed the file and note it into the relevant folder or content record alongside the source recording. It applies the account's naming and filing convention automatically. Where the transcript's confidence score falls below the account's threshold, often because of background noise or overlapping speakers, the agent leaves those sections marked and sends the file to a human editor for a pass.
Subtitle Generation and Styling
Once a transcript exists, Happy Scribe can format it into subtitle files with the line lengths and timing a video platform expects. A Beam agent can read a completed subtitle export and attach it to the video record it belongs to, applying whichever format the destination platform requires, where that mapping has already been set up. It does not rewrite the wording of the subtitles. If a subtitle file comes back with timing gaps or lines that run long, the agent flags the file rather than editing it and sends it to a human for a final check before publishing.
Multi-Language Translation of Transcripts
Happy Scribe can translate a finished transcript into another language, which teams use to publish captions or transcripts for an audience that does not speak the original recording's language. A Beam agent can read a translated transcript once it is ready and note it alongside the original in the content record, applying the account's file naming convention for each language. It does not choose which languages to translate into; that list is set by the account ahead of time. If a translated file is missing sections or flagged as low confidence, the agent routes it to a human translator to review before it goes out.
