Compare a site's weekly Search Console clicks and impressions against an approved threshold, then flag any page that drops past it for a person to check.
Search Performance Reports
Search Console breaks down a site's clicks, impressions, and average position by page and query. A Beam agent reads this data on a set schedule and compares it against an approved threshold, such as a page's clicks dropping by a set percentage week over week. Pages that stay within the normal range need no action. A page that falls past the threshold, or a new page that suddenly outperforms expectations, is routed to a person to look into, since the report only shows the numbers and not the reason behind a shift.
Index Coverage Reports
Search Console shows which pages on a site Google has indexed and which ones failed, along with the reason for each failure. A Beam agent checks this report on an approved schedule and, when a page moves from indexed to excluded, applies an approved rule to note the page and its error type. It does not resubmit or fix the page itself. Errors on a high traffic page, or a spike in newly excluded pages after a site change, are routed to a person to investigate before more pages are affected.
Sitemap Monitoring
A sitemap tells Google which pages on a site exist and should be crawled, and Search Console reports whether that sitemap was read successfully or hit errors. A Beam agent checks the sitemap's status on an approved schedule and notes whether it was fetched and how many pages it listed versus how many got indexed. It does not edit or resubmit the sitemap. A sitemap that fails to fetch, or one where the indexed count falls well short of the listed count, is routed to a person to check the file and resubmit it.
