Albums

Google Photos groups photos and videos into albums by trip, project, or subject. A Beam agent picks up each new upload, reads its date, folder, or tag, and files it into the album an approved naming rule points to, such as one album per month or per client. The upload stays untouched otherwise, since the agent only sorts it into the right place. Files that fit no approved rule, such as an unlabeled batch or a new folder nobody has mapped yet, are routed to a person to file manually and, if needed, add a new rule for next time.

Shared Albums

A shared album lets several people add and view the same set of photos and videos, useful for a team event, a client shoot, or a family trip. A Beam agent watches for new uploads tagged for a shared album and adds them under an approved rule, such as pairing a project name with an event tag. It does not decide who gets access to the album. Uploads that look private, duplicate an existing photo, or carry no tag pointing to a shared album are routed to a person to place or leave out.

Backup Storage

Google Photos keeps a running backup of every photo and video uploaded from a connected device or folder, so nothing is lost if the original copy is deleted. A Beam agent checks incoming uploads against the backup history and flags any file that failed to save, using an approved rule such as retrying once before escalating. It reads the upload status rather than the media itself. Failed uploads that do not resolve after a retry, or files that look corrupted, are routed to a person to check storage space or upload again by hand.
