Assignment Grade Posting

Google Classroom stores every assignment submission and grade in the class gradebook. A Beam agent watches for new submissions, scores them against the rubric a teacher has approved, and posts the grade back to Classroom the same way a teacher would enter it by hand. Late or incomplete submissions get set aside rather than scored outright. Where a submission does not clearly match any rubric criterion, or a student disputes a grade, the case goes to the teacher to check and finalize, keeping the agent's role limited to the mechanical scoring work rather than the judgment calls teachers are trained to make.

Class Announcement Posting

Teachers post announcements and assignment updates to a Classroom stream for students and guardians to see. A Beam agent drafts routine announcements, such as a due date reminder or a schedule change, from a template a teacher has approved, and posts them to the correct class stream at the scheduled time. It reads the class roster first to confirm the right group receives the message. Announcements that involve a policy change, a grading dispute, or anything outside the approved templates get sent to the teacher to write and post directly, since those require judgment the agent does not have.

Roster and Enrollment Updates

Classroom keeps a roster of students, co-teachers, and guardians attached to each class. A Beam agent reads roster changes coming from a school's student information system, such as a new enrollment or a withdrawal, and applies the matching add or remove in Classroom so the class list stays current without a teacher re-entering it. It checks names against existing records before making a change. Where a match is uncertain, such as two students with similar names or a transfer mid-term, the agent leaves the roster untouched and asks an administrator to confirm the update by hand.
