Mobile Field Form Submissions

Field crews fill out GoCanvas forms on a phone or tablet, often without a signal, and entries sync once a connection returns. A Beam agent reads each completed submission and checks it against the rule a customer has approved, for example that a safety inspection needs a signature and a timestamp before it counts as closed. It updates the linked job or work order and notifies the office once the form clears. Forms missing a required field, filed well outside the expected time window, or flagged by a crew member as incomplete get routed to a supervisor before the job is closed out.

Drag and Drop Checklist Data

GoCanvas lets a customer build checklists with drag and drop fields, so the data coming back from the field can include photos, signatures, and dropdown answers. A Beam agent reads the structured answers on submission and applies the approved rule for that checklist, such as failing an inspection if any required item is marked non-compliant. It notifies the assigned technician or manager and updates the equipment or site record accordingly. Answers that contradict each other, photos that do not match the expected item, or checklists left partly blank get routed to a manager to sort out.

Dispatch Routing by Job Type

Completed GoCanvas forms need to land with different people depending on what the form covers, such as a safety issue, a delivery confirmation, or a maintenance request. A Beam agent reads the form type and its answers, then routes it to the approver a customer has assigned for that category, updating the relevant job record as it goes. Straightforward, fully answered forms move through without anyone touching them. Forms that mix categories, name an approver who is unavailable, or carry an urgent flag from the field get routed to a supervisor to redirect by hand.
