Ghost.org (Admin API)

Draft and update Ghost posts through the admin API, automating editorial tasks like scheduling releases and tagging authors, while routing final approval to a human editor.

Draft and Scheduled Posts

Ghost's admin API exposes drafts, scheduled posts, and tags for a publication. A Beam agent watches for a new draft crossing an editorial checklist, such as a missing meta description or unset feature image, then applies the customer's approved rule: filling in a default tag, setting a scheduled time, or flagging the post back to the author. It reads post status and content fields directly rather than a spreadsheet copy. Anything touching headline wording, factual claims, or legal language is routed to a human editor for sign off, since the agent only adjusts structural fields the account permissions allow it to touch.

Member and Tier Management

Ghost tracks members and their subscription tiers through the admin API, including free versus paid status. A Beam agent reads a member record when a subscription event fires, checks it against the customer's approved rule, for example moving a lapsed paid member to a free tier or adding a welcome tag, and writes that change back to the member profile. It does not alter billing details or tier pricing itself. Any dispute over a charge, a refund request, or an ambiguous cancellation reason is routed to a human on the support team, since those decisions carry judgment the agent isn't set up to make.

Webhooks for Site Events

The admin API can register webhooks for events such as a fresh post or a new member subscribing. A Beam agent listens for these events and applies the approved rule, for example notifying an editor's channel when a post goes live or adding a newly subscribed member to a tracking sheet, drawing only on the fields the webhook payload provides. It does not modify the webhook configuration or theme code. Anything involving a failed delivery, a malformed payload, or a change to how the site behaves is routed to a human developer, where account permissions allow the agent to read the event at all.
