Calibration Due Date Alerts

GageList tracks a due date for each instrument's next calibration based on its assigned schedule. A Beam agent reads upcoming and overdue due dates and applies the account's approved rule, for example notifying the technician responsible once a gage falls within a set window of its due date, or flagging an overdue instrument as out of service until it is recalibrated. Instruments with no assigned schedule, a paused calibration cycle, or conflicting due dates across records are routed to a human to confirm before any status changes.

Instrument and Gage Records

Each instrument in GageList carries a record of its type, location, and calibration history. A Beam agent reads this record when a calibration event is logged and applies an approved rule, such as updating the instrument's status to calibrated and notifying the department that relies on it. The agent can apply the same rule across an entire fleet of gages instead of a technician updating each record one by one. Where a record is missing key fields, shows a history gap, or the calibration result falls outside the instrument's accepted range, the agent routes the case to a human before the status is updated.

Certificate and Compliance Records

GageList stores the calibration certificate and result tied to each completed calibration event. A Beam agent reads a newly attached certificate and, following the account's approved rule, updates the instrument's compliance status and notifies the quality lead when a result falls outside the accepted tolerance. This keeps the compliance record current without someone opening each certificate by hand after it arrives from the calibration provider. Certificates that are missing required fields, come from an unapproved calibration provider, or show a failed result are routed to a human to review before the instrument returns to service.
