Review Comment Sync

Frame.io collects timestamped comments directly on a video, but that feedback often needs to reach a separate project or task system to be actioned. A Beam agent reads new comments on a Frame.io asset, applies the customer's approved rule for which comments become tasks, opening a fix item for any comment tagged as a change request, and updates the linked project record with the comment's timestamp and text. Comments that are purely conversational, unresolved after several rounds, or tagged as a question rather than a request are left in Frame.io for a person to answer directly.

Approval Status Updates

A video asset in Frame.io moves through stages such as in review, needs changes, or approved, and stakeholders outside the platform rarely check it directly. A Beam agent reads an asset's current approval status, applies the customer's approved rule for what that status means downstream, such as releasing a linked deliverable once approved, and updates the record in the connected project system to match. It notes the reviewer's name and the time of the change for reference. Status changes made without the required reviewers signed off, or reversed shortly after being set, are routed to a person to check before the deliverable moves forward.

Asset Version Tracking

Frame.io keeps multiple versions of the same video as edits come in, and knowing which version a comment or approval belongs to matters once a project has several rounds. A Beam agent reads which version a comment or approval status is attached to, applies the customer's approved rule for whether older versions should still block a release, and updates a version field on the linked record so downstream tools point at the current cut. Versions with comments still open, or an approval given on a version that is no longer current, are set aside for a person to resolve before final delivery.
