Transaction status updates

Flutterwave records the status of every payment as it moves from initiated to settled or failed. A Beam agent reads that status on a set schedule, applies the account's rule for what counts as complete, and updates the matching order or invoice record in a connected system so a customer's status reflects reality without someone checking Flutterwave manually. This keeps order fulfillment from lagging behind a payment that already cleared. Transactions stuck in a pending state past the account's threshold, or ones that fail without a clear reason, are routed to finance to look into.

Payout scheduling

Flutterwave handles payouts to a business's connected bank account on a set cadence. A Beam agent reads the account's approved payout schedule and available balance, confirms the payout meets the conditions set for it, such as a minimum threshold, and initiates the payout or notifies finance once it processes. This removes the need for someone to check a balance and start a payout by hand each period. Payouts that would take a balance below a required reserve, or that fall outside the approved schedule, are held for a person to approve first.

Dispute routing

Flutterwave flags a transaction when a customer disputes a charge or a chargeback is filed. A Beam agent reads that dispute record, applies the account's rule for gathering the relevant order and communication history, and attaches that context to the case before notifying finance. This saves finance from digging through separate systems to respond to a dispute deadline. Disputes involving a high value or a repeat customer, or where the account's evidence rule doesn't clearly apply, are escalated to a person to handle directly.
