Feed Entry Scanning

Feedbin pulls new items from every feed a person subscribes to into a single unread list, rather than requiring a visit to each publisher's site. A Beam agent checks that list on a schedule, reads each new entry against a keyword or topic rule a team has approved, and tags or stars matching entries, notifying the person who watches that topic when something relevant appears. This means a subject someone tracks across dozens of sources doesn't require opening each one individually. Entries the rule can't confidently match, or that touch a topic outside the approved list, are left unread for a person to review.

Saved Search Notifications

A saved search in Feedbin keeps watching every new entry across subscribed feeds for terms a person has defined, rather than requiring a fresh search each time. A Beam agent reads results from an approved saved search on a set schedule, and where a new match appears, forwards it or files it into a tracked collection a team uses for that topic. This surfaces a mention across many feeds without a person rechecking the search manually. Matches from an unreliable source, or an entry that only partly fits the search terms, are set aside for a person to judge.

Email Newsletter Consolidation

Feedbin can receive email newsletters at a dedicated address and display them in the same reading list as RSS entries, so a subscription doesn't clutter a personal inbox. A Beam agent watches that consolidated list for a newsletter matching a topic a team follows, reads its content against the approved rule, and files or forwards it to whoever needs that update, marking the original entry read once handled. This keeps newsletter content flowing into the same workflow as other feed items. Newsletters from an unrecognized sender, or that contain a link the account flags, are left for a person to open directly.
