Card Movement Across Boards

A Favro board tracks work as cards moved through columns such as backlog, in progress, and done, often linked to boards other teams use. A Beam agent reads the status of a linked task or a completed checklist item, applies the rule a team has approved for when a card should move, and shifts it to the next column, notifying the card's owner that action is needed. This keeps a shared board honest without someone updating it after every standup. Cards with conflicting status across linked boards, or no clear next column under the rule, are left in place for a person to move.

Backlog Prioritization Signals

Favro lets a team rank backlog items by priority, but that ranking only stays useful if it reflects what has actually changed: a blocked dependency, a shifted deadline, a new request. A Beam agent reads signals from linked records, such as a dependency marked resolved or a due date pulled forward, and reorders or flags backlog items according to the priority rule a team has approved. The affected card is updated and its owner notified of the change. Reprioritization that would bump an item above work already committed for a current sprint is left for a person to approve before the order changes.

Cross-Team Board Linking

Favro connects boards across different teams so a card in one group's backlog can reflect status from another team's board without duplicate data entry. A Beam agent watches the linked board for the status change a team has agreed matters, such as a design task marked ready, and updates the corresponding card on the dependent board, notifying its owner that the blocker has cleared. This keeps teams working from boards structured for their own process while staying in sync on shared dependencies. Links that report conflicting statuses, or a dependency no board owner has confirmed, are flagged for a person to sort out.
