The agent reads new comments as they arrive, matches them against the approved reply the team has written for common questions, such as hours or availability, and posts that reply directly to the thread. Comments that raise a complaint, mention a specific order, or do not match an approved reply are left unanswered and flagged for a person on the team to handle.

Page inbox messages

Alongside public comments, a Facebook Page has a private message inbox where customers reach out directly, and a Beam agent can read those messages the same way it reads comments. It checks each message against the approved responses the team has set up for routine questions, sending the matching reply and marking the conversation as handled. Messages that ask something outside the approved list, sound urgent, or come from someone already flagged in another system are left in the inbox for a person to answer rather than answered by the agent.

Page post scheduling

A Facebook Page holds the queue of posts scheduled to go out at set times, which a marketing team uses to plan updates ahead of when they should appear. A Beam agent can read that queue to confirm a post is still scheduled as expected, checking it against the content calendar the team keeps elsewhere and flagging any post that has gone missing or slipped in timing. Writing or editing the post copy itself, along with the decision to take something down, stays with the marketing team rather than the agent.
