Enedis Data-Connect

Pull a customer's authorized energy consumption data from Enedis Data-Connect, and update the usage record for a person to check before it's used for billing or reporting.

Consumption data retrieval

Enedis Data-Connect provides a customer's smart meter consumption history once that customer has granted consent through the required authorization flow. A Beam agent requests this data only for customers whose consent is on file and current, adds the consumption history to the account's usage record, and flags any customer whose consent has expired so a new request can be made before data is fetched again. Data returned in an unexpected format or covering a shorter period than requested is held for a person to check rather than used as though it were complete. The agent never requests data for a customer without recorded, active consent.

Consent and authorization checks

Enedis Data-Connect requires an explicit consumer authorization before it releases any consumption data, and it records when that authorization expires. A Beam agent checks authorization status before every data request, blocking a request outright if the authorization has lapsed, and notifies the account owner so a renewal can be requested from the customer. Consent renewals themselves are not requested by the agent; asking a customer to reauthorize access is left for a person, since that touches the customer relationship directly. Any data already held from a now-expired authorization is flagged for a person to decide whether it can still be used.

Usage anomaly flagging

Enedis Data-Connect returns consumption figures that can be compared against a customer's own history once several data points exist. A Beam agent compares a new reading against that customer's recent average, using the variance threshold the account has approved, and notes the comparison in the usage record for reference. A reading far outside that customer's normal range, which could point to a meter issue or a genuine usage change, is flagged for a person rather than acted on automatically, since the agent has no way to tell which cause applies. No adjustment to billing or an account follows from this comparison without that person's decision.
