Article deflection matching

Elevio stores knowledge base articles tagged by topic and links them to the support widget and any connected help desk. A Beam agent reads an incoming question, compares it against Elevio's tagged articles using the match confidence the tool returns, and surfaces the top article in the widget before a ticket is opened. Questions with a strong match close without a person touching them, while low-confidence matches, or questions covering more than one topic, are passed straight to a support agent along with the articles considered. No decision is made when Elevio can't find a clear match.

Article gap detection

Elevio notes every search that returns no strong article match, along with the phrase the customer typed. A Beam agent checks this gap list on a schedule the account owner sets, groups similar unanswered searches together, and notifies the content team once a topic crosses the volume threshold they've approved. This surfaces recurring gaps without someone scanning search results by hand. The agent doesn't write or publish new articles itself, since new content requires a subject expert; it only flags where the existing library is falling short and how often customers are asking.

Widget content targeting

Elevio can show different articles depending on where a customer is in the product, based on page or segment rules the account sets up. A Beam agent checks that the right article set is still linked to each page after a product update, using the mapping the team already approved, and flags any page that lost its widget content. Where a page's purpose has changed enough that the old mapping may no longer fit, the agent leaves the update for a person rather than reassigning articles on its own. Nothing is added to a page without that mapping already existing.
