Event Based Offsetting

Ecologi lets an account fund carbon offset projects or tree planting in response to an action, rather than only on a fixed schedule. A Beam agent reads a qualifying event from a connected system, such as a completed sale or a new customer signup, applies the customer's approved rule for the offset amount tied to that event, and places the contribution through Ecologi, keeping a record of which event funded it. Events with amounts outside the agreed range, or ones missing the detail needed to size the contribution, are held for a person to confirm.

Contribution Reporting

Ecologi keeps a running record of trees funded and carbon offset over time for an account, information a company often needs for its own sustainability reporting. A Beam agent reads that running total on a set schedule and writes a summary into another system, such as a report or a dashboard the customer uses, following the format and frequency the customer has agreed on in advance. Totals that look inconsistent with the number of qualifying events recorded elsewhere, such as a mismatch worth investigating before it is shared externally, are flagged for a person rather than reported as final.

Team Subscription Management

Ecologi supports recurring subscriptions where a set amount is contributed on a regular basis for a team or account, alongside the one off, event based contributions described above. A Beam agent checks that a subscription remains active and matches the level the customer approved, and notifies a person if a payment fails or a plan needs to change based on a threshold the customer set in advance, such as headcount growth crossing an agreed number. Any change to the subscription level itself is left to a person to approve rather than being adjusted automatically by the agent.
