Book a shipping rate and label in Easyship the moment an order closes in another system, automating the fulfillment paperwork a warehouse team would otherwise type in by hand.
Rate Comparison and Booking
Easyship compares rates across multiple carriers for a given shipment based on weight, destination, and service level. A Beam agent reads a confirmed order from a connected store or order system, applies the customer's approved rule for choosing a rate, such as the cheapest option under a set delivery window, and books the corresponding Easyship label, writing the tracking number back to the order. Orders with unusual dimensions, restricted destinations, or no rate matching the rule are held and routed to a person to book manually.
Customs Document Preparation
International shipments need customs paperwork describing the contents and value of a package, and Easyship generates that documentation from shipment details. A Beam agent reads the product information tied to an order, such as item description and declared value, fills in the required fields following the customer's approved format, and attaches the finished document to the shipment record in Easyship. Shipments with missing product detail, or destinations with customs rules the account has not been configured for, are set aside for a person to complete.
Order Status Syncing
Once a shipment is booked, Easyship tracks its status as it moves through a carrier's network. A Beam agent reads that status on a schedule or when it changes, and writes an update back to the order in the store or system the customer connected, such as marking an order shipped or delivered following the notification rule the customer set. A shipment stuck or flagged as an exception by the carrier is not marked complete, it is routed to a person to follow up with the carrier.
