Short Link Generation

Dub turns a long destination URL into a short, branded link that can be shared or embedded anywhere. A Beam agent generates that link when a campaign asset or piece of content is marked ready, using the naming pattern a team has approved, and writes the resulting short link back onto the asset's record so anyone working from that record has it on hand. This removes the step of someone opening Dub separately just to shorten one URL. Requests for a custom slug that conflicts with an existing link, or that falls outside the account's naming convention, are passed to a person to resolve manually.

Click Analytics per Link

Every link created in Dub records clicks along with details like referrer, device, and location, where the account's settings allow it. A Beam agent reads this data on a schedule for links tied to an active campaign and writes the current totals back onto the campaign record, keeping performance numbers current without anyone opening Dub to check manually. This gives a marketing team one place to see how content is performing alongside the rest of their reporting. Click spikes that suggest bot traffic, or numbers inconsistent with a campaign's normal pattern, are flagged for a person to investigate before being reported as real engagement.

Custom Domain Link Branding

Dub allows short links to use a domain a team already owns instead of a generic shortener domain, keeping links recognizable to whoever clicks them. A Beam agent applies the approved domain for a given campaign or brand when generating a new link, matching the domain to whatever rule a team has set for that context. This keeps link branding consistent without someone remembering which domain belongs to which campaign. Requests to add a domain the account has not yet verified, or to use a domain outside the approved list, are handed to a person before any link goes out.
