Segment contacts by their activity and advance them to the next step in an email sequence, automating the follow up work a marketing team would otherwise send one by one.
Contact Tagging and Segmentation
Drip organizes contacts using tags and custom fields built from what a person does: pages visited, emails opened, products bought. A Beam agent reads a contact's activity against a team's approved segmentation rule and applies or removes the matching tag, keeping lists current without someone auditing them by hand. Newly tagged contacts flow into whatever sequence or campaign that tag is set up to start. Contacts whose activity is ambiguous, or who trip a rule meant to flag risk such as repeated bounces or spam complaints, are set aside for a person to check before any tag change goes live.
Automated Email Workflows
A Drip workflow is a set sequence of emails started by an event, like a signup or an abandoned cart. A Beam agent watches for that starting event in the connected store or form, starts the approved workflow for the matching contact, and advances each step once its wait condition or previous email is delivered. This keeps follow up consistent even outside business hours. Replies that need a real answer, unsubscribe requests, and any contact who matches a suppression rule are pulled out of the workflow and handed to a person instead of receiving the next scheduled email.
Ecommerce Event Triggers
Drip integrates with ecommerce platforms and records events like purchases, cart abandonment, and refunds against each contact. A Beam agent reads these events as they arrive, matches them to the approved rule for that event type, such as sending a cart reminder after a set delay, and updates the contact record with the outcome. This keeps campaign timing tied to real store activity instead of a fixed calendar. Refunds, chargebacks, and any purchase pattern that looks like fraud are excluded from automated follow up and flagged to a person to decide what, if anything, to send next.
