Documenterra hosts a company's internal documentation and knowledge base pages, and those pages need updating whenever the process or policy they describe changes underneath them. A Beam agent watches for a defined change in the source system, such as a workflow step being retired or a policy detail changing, and checks whether a related Documenterra page references the old version. Where the match is clear and narrow, for example a page naming a retired tool, the agent updates that line and records the change. Where the edit would touch more than a single fact, the agent flags the page for a documentation owner to revise.

Page Organization and Structure

Documenterra arranges pages into a structure, such as sections by team or by product area, and a page that moves or gets renamed can break links elsewhere in the site if that structure is not kept consistent. A Beam agent reads the current structure before making a change and checks whether other pages link to the one being updated, flagging any link that would break. It keeps a simple change log so a documentation owner can see what moved and why. Where restructuring the site itself is the ask, the agent leaves that decision to a person.

Stale Content Flags

A documentation site drifts out of date quietly when no one is assigned to check it regularly, and Documenterra's own edit history shows how long a page has gone untouched. A Beam agent reads that history on a schedule, compiles pages that have not been reviewed within an agreed window, and sends the list to the documentation owner rather than assuming the content is still accurate. It notes any pages tied to a process the agent already knows has changed elsewhere, since those are the highest priority to check. The agent surfaces the list only; a person decides what gets rewritten.
