Multi-Party Signing Order

Documenso lets a document move through a defined sequence of signers rather than requesting every signature at once, which matters for approvals that must happen in a set order, such as a manager signing before a client. A Beam agent triggers when a document is marked ready, reads the signer order from the source record, and starts the Documenso request in that sequence. It checks progress and notifies the next signer once the prior one completes their part. If a signer in the sequence is unavailable or the order needs to change, the agent pauses the request and asks a person how to proceed.

Signing Status Tracking

Documenso reports whether each signer has viewed, opened, or completed a document, giving a clear picture of where a request stands at any point. A Beam agent reads that status on a schedule and updates the linked record, for example a deal or contract, so the owner can see progress without opening Documenso directly. It can also send the reminder Documenso supports to a signer who has not acted within an agreed window. When a signer declines outright, or a request sits unopened well past the expected window, the agent stops the automatic reminders and flags the case to a person.

Completed Document Retrieval

Once all signers have completed a document, Documenso produces a final signed file with the audit trail attached. A Beam agent retrieves that finished document and files it against the record that started the request, such as a customer or vendor file, then notifies whoever owns that record that signing is complete. Where the completed document should go to more than one destination, for example both a contract archive and a billing system, the agent follows the rule set for that document type. If the destination is ambiguous or no rule exists yet, the agent holds the file and asks a person where it belongs.
