Confidence-Scored Field Reading

Docsumo reads a document, such as an invoice or a loan form, and returns each field with a confidence score rather than a single flat answer. A Beam agent applies the threshold the customer has agreed to, accepting fields above that score into the destination system and holding anything below it. This means a clearly printed invoice number moves through untouched while a smudged total gets set aside. The agent writes accepted fields into the record tied to the document and notes which, if any, were held back. Anything under threshold goes to a person to confirm before it reaches the system of record.

Table and Line Item Reading

Beyond header fields, Docsumo reads tables inside a document, such as line items on an invoice or rows on a statement, keeping each row separate rather than flattening the page into one block of text. A Beam agent takes that table output and writes each row into the matching record, for example splitting an invoice into individual cost lines in an accounting system. It keeps a link back to the source document so a person can check a figure against the original scan. Where row totals do not reconcile with a stated grand total, the agent holds the document for a person to check.

Document Type Classification

Docsumo can sort an incoming file by document type, for example separating invoices from purchase orders from bank statements, before applying the reading rule suited to that type. A Beam agent reads the classification Docsumo assigns and routes the document to the correct downstream process automatically, rather than a person sorting files by hand first. This keeps mixed batches, such as a folder containing several document types at once, moving without manual triage. When Docsumo cannot classify a file with enough confidence, or a file mixes more than one document type on a single page, the agent sets it aside for a person to sort.
