DocsBot AI

Answer customer questions with a DocsBot AI chatbot trained on your documentation, automating first-line replies, and forwarding anything the bot cannot answer to a human.

Chatbot Trained on Your Documentation

DocsBot AI ingests a company's existing documentation, help articles, or product content and uses it to answer questions in a chat interface rather than relying on general knowledge. A Beam agent watches the chatbot's conversation log, reads a question once the bot has responded, and checks the confidence or source citation DocsBot AI provides against the rule the customer has set for acceptable answers. Where the answer looks confident and sourced, the agent lets it stand. Where the bot cites nothing, contradicts known documentation, or a customer asks a follow-up the bot cannot resolve, the agent hands the conversation to a support person.

Source-Cited Answers

DocsBot AI can attach the documentation passage it drew an answer from, letting a reader check the source rather than trust the answer blindly. A Beam agent reads that citation alongside the answer and uses it to decide whether the response is safe to leave as final or needs a second look, for example when the cited passage is outdated or from a superseded document version. It can also flag documentation gaps back to the content owner when a question repeatedly gets answered from a thin or missing source. When no source is available at all, the agent routes the exchange to a human.

Escalation of Unanswered Questions

Not every question a customer asks matches something in the underlying documentation, and DocsBot AI marks or logs those cases so they are not left as a guess. A Beam agent reads the log of unanswered or low-confidence exchanges on a schedule, groups them by topic where possible, and passes them to the support team, along with the original question and any partial answer the bot attempted. It notifies the documentation owner when the same gap shows up repeatedly, since that pattern usually means content is missing rather than a one-off phrasing problem. The agent never invents an answer the bot did not provide.
