Google Docs Template Population

DocsAutomator takes a Google Docs template with placeholder fields and fills those placeholders with values pulled from a connected app, such as a CRM deal or a form response. A Beam agent triggers when the source record reaches the stage the customer has defined, for example a form submission or a signed deal, reads the mapped fields, and hands them to DocsAutomator to produce the document. It saves the result to the linked Drive folder and notifies the owner. Where a mapped field is empty or the placeholder does not match any source field, the agent stops for a person to fix the mapping.

Bulk Document Generation From Spreadsheets

DocsAutomator can generate one document per row from a spreadsheet, useful for producing many similar letters or certificates from a single list. A Beam agent reads the spreadsheet once it is marked ready, passes each row through DocsAutomator against the assigned template, and tracks which rows produced a document successfully. It reports the batch result to whoever requested the run rather than leaving success or failure implicit. If a row is missing a required value or produces an error during generation, the agent excludes that row from the batch and flags it to a person instead of guessing at a substitute value.

Automatic Delivery to Drive or Email

Once a document is generated, DocsAutomator can place the file in a specified Google Drive folder or attach it to an outgoing email, depending on how the workflow is configured. A Beam agent reads the delivery rule tied to the document type, for example a client folder for signed contracts and a shared drive for internal reports, and confirms the file lands in the right place. It notifies the recipient where notification is configured. When the delivery destination is missing or conflicts with existing folder permissions, the agent holds the file and asks a person where it should go.
