Check certificate and credential records issued through Dock Certs, automating status updates for routine verifications and routing disputed or expired credentials to a human.
Credential Issuance
A Beam agent reads a request to issue a new credential or certificate, such as a training completion or a compliance record, and checks the request against the data a customer already holds for that person or transaction. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the agent submits the credential to Dock Certs for issuance and notes the certificate's reference number in a shared record. A request with missing supporting data, a person not found in the customer's own records, or a credential type outside the approved list is held back and routed to a human before anything is issued.
Verification Status Lookup
A Beam agent reads the verification status Dock Certs returns for a credential someone has presented, such as a diploma or license, and checks whether the result is a clear match, a clear mismatch, or unresolved. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the agent updates the requester's file with the outcome and closes the check. A result that is unresolved, a credential that has expired since issuance, or a status that conflicts with information the customer already holds is left open and routed to a human to look into further.
Revocation Handling
A Beam agent reads a request to revoke a previously issued credential, such as one tied to an employee who has left or a certification that has lapsed, and checks it against the reason codes a customer has approved for routine revocation. Where the reason fits, the agent submits the revocation through Dock Certs and updates the credential's record to show it is no longer valid. A revocation tied to a dispute, a legal request, or a reason outside the approved list is held back and routed to a human before the credential's status changes.
