Channel Message Handling

A Beam agent watches a Discord server for an event that calls for a message, such as a new member joining, a scheduled reminder, or a status update from a connected tool. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the bot posts the message to the correct channel using wording the customer has set in advance, and notes that it was sent in a log. A message that would need new wording, touches a sensitive topic, or is aimed at a channel outside the approved list is held back and routed to a human to write and post instead.

Role Assignment

A Beam agent reads a member's activity or a form response tied to a Discord server and checks it against the criteria a customer has set for a given role, such as completing an onboarding step. Where the criteria are clearly met, the bot assigns or removes the role and notes the change in a member log. A member whose activity is borderline, a role tied to payment or verification status, or a request for a role outside the documented list is left unassigned and routed to a human to decide.

Member Join and Leave Events

A Beam agent reads join and leave events on a Discord server and updates a member count or roster a customer keeps outside Discord itself. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the bot sends a routine welcome message to a new member and notes their join date in the roster. A sudden spike in joins, a member leaving right after a reported issue, or an account that looks automated rather than a real person is flagged and routed to a human rather than handled with the standard welcome flow.
