Marketplace Listing Updates

A Beam agent reads a seller's inventory count and compares it against active listings on Discogs' marketplace, looking for items that have sold out, changed price, or need a new condition note. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the agent updates the listing quantity or marks an item as sold once an order comes through, keeping the storefront current without a seller checking it by hand. A listing dispute, a grading disagreement with a buyer, or a price change beyond a set range is left untouched and routed to a human to resolve.

Release Data Lookup

A Beam agent checks a seller's catalog against Discogs' release database, matching each item to its correct release, format, and pressing details before a listing goes live. Where the match is clear, the agent fills in the release information automatically and notes the match in the inventory record. An item with no clear match, multiple possible pressings, or details that conflict with what the seller already has on file is left blank and routed to a human to identify the correct release before the listing goes live.

Order and Shipping Records

A Beam agent reads new orders coming through Discogs' marketplace and updates a seller's own order log with the buyer's details, item, and price paid. Where a customer-approved rule allows it, the agent marks an order as shipped once a tracking number is entered and sends the buyer a routine notice. An order with a shipping address that looks incomplete, a payment that has not cleared, or a buyer message raising a problem is held back from that automatic notice and routed to a human before the order is closed out.
