Contact Follow up Reminders

Dex keeps a record of the last time someone was in touch across email, LinkedIn, and other linked sources. A Beam agent reads that last contact date for each person and compares it against the follow up interval the customer has approved for that relationship, such as thirty or ninety days. Contacts inside the interval need nothing further. A contact that has passed the interval gets a draft follow up note prepared and placed with the account owner in Dex, ready to go out once a person checks the wording. The agent does not message the contact directly on anyone's behalf.

Relationship Timeline Notes

Dex stores notes and past interactions tied to each contact, forming a timeline of what has happened with that relationship over time. A Beam agent reads new information it has approved access to, such as a note added after a meeting, and updates the contact's timeline in Dex so the history stays current without the owner typing it in twice. Where a new note conflicts with existing details, such as a changed job title or company, the agent flags the conflict to the contact owner rather than overwriting what's already there. It never deletes an existing note or timeline entry on its own.

New Connection Intake

When a new contact appears in Dex, whether added manually or picked up from a linked source like email or LinkedIn, a Beam agent reads the available details, such as name, company, and how the connection came about. It applies the customer's approved rule for organizing new contacts, such as tagging them by source or adding them to a relevant list, and updates the record in Dex accordingly. A contact with enough information to tag confidently gets filed automatically. A contact with unclear or incomplete details gets flagged for the owner to fill in and confirm by hand.
