Tamper-Evident Event Ledger

DataTrails records each event tied to a digital asset, such as a document being created, reviewed, or transferred, to an immutable ledger. A Beam agent reads new events as they're logged and checks the sequence against the approved rule for that asset type, such as requiring a review event before a transfer event. Where the sequence holds, the agent updates the linked internal record to reflect the confirmed history. Events arriving out of the expected order, or affecting an asset flagged as high value, are routed to a person to investigate.

Digital Asset Attestations

An attestation in DataTrails ties a specific claim, like an inspection result or a certification, to a digital asset in a verifiable way. A Beam agent reads newly submitted attestations and checks them against the approved rule for that claim type, such as confirming the attesting party is on an approved list. Once confirmed, the agent updates the asset's record and notifies the team responsible for it. Attestations from a party not on the approved list, or claims that conflict with an earlier attestation, are routed to a person before the record is updated.

Content Authenticity Records

Content registered in DataTrails carries a record of its origin, so a team can check whether a file matches what was originally published. A Beam agent reads the authenticity record tied to a piece of content when it's referenced elsewhere and applies the approved rule for confirming a match, such as a hash comparison against the registered original. Where the match holds, the agent notes the confirmation in the linked record. Content that fails the match, or lacks a registered origin at all, is routed to a person to investigate before it's used further.
