It notes the old and new price for the record. Price moves that would fall below an approved margin floor are routed to a human before the change goes live.

Stock and Availability Checks

Countdown API reports whether a listing is in stock and how many units are available, information that matters for sellers tracking competitor inventory or their own listings. A Beam agent reads availability data on a schedule, applies the approved rule for what action an availability change should trigger, such as flagging a competitor's stockout as a pricing opportunity, and updates the relevant record. It logs the change so the history is traceable. Availability data that looks inconsistent between checks is routed to a human to confirm before any action is taken.

Product Data Refresh

Product details returned by Countdown API, such as title, category, and specifications, can drift out of date as listings change on eBay. A Beam agent reads the current listing data, applies the approved rule for which fields should update in the seller's own catalog, such as syncing category and specification fields but not titles, and updates the catalog record. It keeps a note of what changed and when. Listings with data that looks incomplete or contradicts the existing catalog entry are routed to a human to check before anything is overwritten.
