Update a Cogmento contact record once its verifiable credential clears, automating a confirmation step a sales or operations team otherwise does manually.
Contact Record Updates
Cogmento holds contact and account data for a business's CRM the way most CRMs do, but ties it to verifiable identity where configured by the account owner. A Beam agent reads a contact record when it changes, applies the approved rule, for example updating a status field once a credential clears, and writes the update back to Cogmento without a person retyping it. It can also notify the account owner when a record they follow changes. Merges between duplicate contacts, or changes to core identity fields, are routed to a human to confirm.
Verifiable Credential Checks
Cogmento supports verifiable credentials that confirm a claim about a contact, such as an identity or qualification, without exposing the underlying document itself. A Beam agent reads the status of a credential check as it completes, applies the approved rule for what happens next, such as unlocking a stage in a workflow, and updates the record accordingly. Where permissions allow, it can also notify the requesting team once verification finishes. A failed or disputed credential check is routed to a human before the workflow proceeds.
Self-Sovereign Identity Sync
Because Cogmento supports self-sovereign identity, a contact can control which credentials they share with the CRM rather than the business holding a copy outright by default. A Beam agent reads what a contact has actually shared, applies the approved rule for updating the CRM record to reflect it, such as marking a field as verified, and notifies the relevant team once the update lands. Requests to store or duplicate an identity credential beyond what was shared are routed to a human, since that decision carries privacy weight.
