Validate a scanned barcode against CodeREADr's approved list and flag the exception, automating a check a warehouse team otherwise runs by eye.
Barcode Scan Workflows
CodeREADr runs a configured scanning workflow on a phone or handheld device, recording each scan against a defined data set. A Beam agent reads the scan results as they come in, applies the approved rule, for example matching a scanned code against an inventory list, and updates the connected record. It can also notify a supervisor when a batch of scans finishes. Scans that fail to match anything on the list, or a device reporting scans out of sequence, are routed to a human to check.
Scan Validation Rules
A CodeREADr workflow can require a scan to pass a validation check before it counts, such as confirming a code exists in an approved list or hasn't already been scanned. A Beam agent reads each validation result, applies the customer's approved rule for a pass or a fail, and updates the relevant record or notifies the field team of a rejected scan. Where permissions allow, it can also flag a device with an unusual rate of failed scans. Repeated failures on the same code are routed to a human to investigate.
Scan Data Export
CodeREADr exports collected scan data on a schedule or after a job completes, ready for use elsewhere. A Beam agent reads the export once it is available, applies the approved rule for where each field should go, and updates the connected system, such as an inventory or logistics record. It can also notify the operations team once the update is complete. Export files with missing fields, unexpected formats, or data that doesn't match an existing record are routed to a human before anything is written.
