Quality Gate Enforcement

Codacy quality gates block a pull request when code fails a defined quality or coverage threshold. A Beam agent watches for a gate failure, reads which rule triggered it and which files are affected, then applies the customer approved routing rule to notify the owning developer or team channel directly. Where the connector and account permissions allow it, the agent can also comment the specific failing metric on the pull request itself. Disputed thresholds, repeated failures on the same file, and any request to override a gate get routed to a human reviewer for judgment.

Pull Request Issue Annotations

Codacy posts inline issues on a pull request diff, covering style, complexity, and duplication problems found during analysis. A Beam agent reads these annotations as they post, groups them by severity and file owner, and applies an approved rule to route only the issues above a set severity to the right engineer, keeping minor notes out of everyone's inbox. It can also update a tracking ticket once the count for a repository changes. Ambiguous severity calls and issues touching shared or legacy code get handed to a human for the final decision.

Security Issue Scanning

Codacy's security analysis flags vulnerable patterns and dependency risks across a codebase as commits land. A Beam agent monitors new findings, reads the affected package or file, and applies the approved rule for that risk level, for example opening a ticket or messaging the security channel when a high severity issue appears. Where permissions allow, it can close out findings once a fix merges and the scan comes back clean. Anything involving a production credential, a disputed severity rating, or a fix that touches shared infrastructure is routed to a human to confirm before action is taken.
