Recipient groups and segments

CleverReach organizes contacts into groups and segments based on fields such as sign-up source, tags, or past engagement. A Beam agent reads a contact's current group and engagement data when a triggering event happens, such as a new sign-up or a change flagged elsewhere, and checks it against an approved rule for segment placement. Where the rule applies, the agent moves the contact into the correct group or updates its tags directly. Contacts with conflicting signals, or requests to move someone into a group tied to legal consent requirements, are routed to a person to confirm.

Campaign delivery reports

CleverReach records delivery results for each campaign, including opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes per recipient. A Beam agent reads these reports after a send completes, checking bounce and unsubscribe entries against an approved rule, such as removing hard bounces from future sends or suppressing repeat unsubscribes. Where the rule covers the case, the agent updates the recipient's status in CleverReach so the next campaign excludes them automatically. Soft bounces, unclear bounce reasons, or a spike in unsubscribes are routed to a person to review before any broader list change is made.

Automated send journeys

CleverReach runs automated journeys that send a sequence of emails to a contact based on a trigger, such as joining a list or a date passing. A Beam agent monitors a contact's position in a journey and checks it against an approved rule, such as pausing a journey when a contact meets a specific condition elsewhere, like completing a purchase. Where the rule applies, the agent updates the contact's journey status directly. Requests to change a journey's content or add a new step are routed to a person, since only status and progression changes are handled automatically.
