Resize and compress images on request

change.photos resizes and compresses an image according to parameters passed with the request, producing a smaller or differently sized file without the original having to be edited by hand. An agent can submit a newly uploaded image for processing as soon as it arrives, applying the size and compression level the team has approved for that use, such as a product thumbnail or a page hero image, then store the result where the original workflow expects it. Files that fail to process, come back corrupted, or do not match the expected format are routed to a person rather than published as-is.

Apply sharpen and blur adjustments

Beyond resizing, change.photos can sharpen, blur, or otherwise adjust an image, which lets a workflow apply a specific look depending on what the image is for, such as sharpening a product photo or blurring a background for a placeholder. An agent selects the adjustment preset that matches the use case under an approved rule, submits the image for processing, then stores the edited file alongside the original. Source images that are unusually shaped, in an unsupported format, or that produce a visibly broken result after processing are flagged for a person to handle directly.

Batch process images at scale

When many images need the same treatment at once, such as a product catalog import or a bulk media upload, change.photos can process them under the same settings without a person handling each file individually. An agent triggers the batch when the bulk event occurs, applies the approved resize, compression, or edit rule across every image in the set, and logs which files succeeded and which did not. This keeps a large import moving without stalling on a handful of problem files. Any image that fails during batch processing is set aside and reported to a person instead of being silently dropped from the output.
