Trigger Cardly cards, recipients, and send orders, automating outreach work like sending handwritten notes, updating delivery status, and managing recipient lists.
Trigger handwritten card sends
Cardly sends real handwritten cards, written by robotic pens and mailed on paper, in response to a rule a business sets up such as a customer's first purchase, a renewal date, or a work anniversary. A Beam agent watches for the triggering event, reads the relevant customer or employee record, and submits a card order with the recipient's address and an approved message. Cardly handles the writing and mailing from there. Cases where the address is missing, incomplete, or looks wrong are sent to a person to confirm before a card is committed to paper and mailed.
Manage recipient lists and personalization
Each Cardly send draws on a recipient list and personalization fields, such as a name, an occasion, or a detail from a recent order, merged into the card text. An agent keeps the list current by adding new recipients as they qualify under the approved rule and updating fields pulled from a CRM or order system, so every card reads as personal rather than generic. It removes recipients who no longer qualify. Any recipient with missing personalization data, an unclear occasion, or a name that does not match records is flagged for a person to complete.
Track send and delivery status
Once a card order is submitted, Cardly tracks it through writing and mailing, and an agent can read that status to know where each card stands. It updates internal records to show whether a card has been written, mailed, or is still queued, which lets a team plan follow-up outreach around the actual delivery timeline rather than guessing. If a send fails, a card is returned as undeliverable, or an order stalls past the expected mailing window, the agent surfaces it to a person rather than leaving the recipient without their card or a resend.
