Segment Campaign Monitor campaigns, subscribers, and lists, automating email marketing work like scheduling sends and updating subscriber status.
Build and schedule email sends
Campaign Monitor sends can go out immediately or on a schedule, built from a template with subscriber lists attached. A Beam agent creates or schedules a send when a trigger fires, such as a new product update or a recurring newsletter date, reading the approved template and list before queuing it. It confirms the send went out and logs the send time and recipient count. When a send's content or list looks different from prior sends in a way the rule does not cover, the agent holds the send and routes it to the marketing owner for approval.
Segment subscribers by behavior
Campaign Monitor lets lists be split into segments based on activity such as opens, clicks, or purchase history. A Beam agent reads subscriber activity on a schedule and moves subscribers between segments according to the rule the team approved, for example moving anyone inactive for 90 days into a re-engagement segment. It logs how many subscribers moved and why. When activity data is missing or a subscriber's status is ambiguous, such as a bounced address that also shows recent opens, the agent leaves that subscriber in place and flags it for review.
Report on opens, clicks, and unsubscribes
After a campaign sends, Campaign Monitor tracks how many recipients opened it, clicked a link, or unsubscribed, broken down by list and segment. A Beam agent pulls these figures once a send completes and compares them against the account's typical performance or a benchmark the team set. It updates a shared report with the results and logs the send alongside prior campaigns for trend comparison. When a campaign's unsubscribe rate or click rate is well outside the normal range, the agent flags the send to the marketing owner rather than filing it as a routine result.
