Identify BuiltWith technology lookups and domain profiles, automating research work like checking a prospect's tech stack, tracking technology changes, and building lead lists.
Domain technology lookups
BuiltWith reads a domain and returns the technologies it detects running on that site, from the hosting provider to analytics tags and e-commerce platforms. A Beam agent runs a lookup when a new lead or account enters the pipeline, reads back the detected technology list, and applies the rule the customer has approved, for example flagging accounts running a competitor's platform for a specific outreach sequence. Domains that return no data, or where detection is incomplete, are routed to a person to check manually rather than scored on partial information.
Technology change tracking over time
BuiltWith keeps a history of what a domain has run over time, which lets a Beam agent detect when a tracked account adds, removes, or switches a technology. On a schedule, the agent reads the current technology profile for accounts on a watch list and compares it to the last recorded state. Where a change matches an agreed trigger, such as an account dropping a competitor's tool, it updates the account record or notifies the owning rep. Ambiguous changes, like a technology appearing only briefly, are left for a person to confirm before acting on them.
Lead list building from technology filters
BuiltWith can return lists of sites matching a technology criteria, which a Beam agent uses to build or refresh a target list against a rule the customer has set, such as companies running a specific e-commerce platform above a certain traffic level. It reads the matching domains, checks them against existing accounts to avoid duplicates, and adds new ones to the list for outreach. Domains with unclear ownership, or that already exist under a different name in the account records, are flagged to a person rather than merged automatically.
