New error triage and assignment
Bugsnag captures errors and crashes as they happen in an application and groups them so the same underlying issue is not reported separately every time. A Beam agent reads newly reported errors as a trigger, checks details like affected release, error type, and how many users are hit, and applies the rule the customer has approved, for example assigning known error patterns to the team that owns that part of the codebase. Errors that do not match a known pattern, or that spike suddenly in frequency, are routed to a person instead of being assigned automatically.
Release stability monitoring
Bugsnag scores how stable each release is based on how many sessions run without a crash. A Beam agent reads that stability data after a release goes out, comparing it against the threshold the customer has set for an acceptable release. If stability stays above the agreed level, it can update a release tracker or notify the team the rollout is healthy. If stability drops below the threshold, it does not roll anything back itself. It alerts a person immediately so they can decide whether to pause or reverse the release.
Error status and resolution tracking
As errors get fixed, Bugsnag lets a team mark them resolved, ignored, or reopened if they recur after being marked fixed. A Beam agent reads status changes and error volume, and when an error marked resolved reappears in a later release, it reopens the error and notifies the person who last worked on it. It can also update status on errors that meet a clear rule, such as closing errors that have not recurred after an agreed number of releases, while anything ambiguous is left for a person to close.
