About the Role

As a Senior Agent Engineer at Beam, you will play a key role in delivering enterprise-grade AI agents tailored to address our customers' unique business challenges. You’ll partner directly with clients to discover their requirements, design customized solutions, and ensure the seamless implementation of AI agents, and collaborate with our product team to shape our strategic direction in the adoption of AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

Your work will involve both engineering excellence and close customer collaboration, bridging the gap between product and business strategy. You will be expected to:

  • Drive the entire lifecycle of AI Agent deployment—from understanding customer requirements, through solution design, to hands-on implementation.

  • Be at the cutting edge of AI, using Generative AI models to solve critical business problems and driving new features that impact the future of Beam's AI platform.

  • Engage directly with customers across technical and executive teams, helping them discover automation opportunities and building AI solutions that enhance their operations.

  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and solutions teams to scope, define, and implement new features that tackle innovation gaps and enhance the customer experience.

  • Design AI Agents that are scalable, efficient, and seamlessly integrate into customer workflows, ensuring a smooth user experience.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert guidance to customers and internal teams throughout the implementation process.

  • Act as a strategic technical partner, advising customers on best practices, identifying opportunities for deeper AI integration, and driving the adoption of solutions that align with their long-term goals.

  • Contribute to shaping the the direction of our AI Platform by providing feedback based on real-world use cases and customer insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in technical roles such as Software Development, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or similar, with a focus on customer-facing technical support or solution design.

  • Experienced in Prompt Engineering, with the ability to design, refine, and optimize AI prompts for AI/LLM applications.

  • Experience engaging with enterprise-level customers, from gathering requirements to delivering tailored solutions.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in collaboration with both internal and external teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.

  • Passion for innovation and staying ahead of trends in AI technologies and customer engagement strategies.

Good to have:

  • Experience with backend tech stacks such as Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure. API integrations is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of AI, machine learning concepts, and their practical applications in business processes.
