AI Cloud Platform Engineer

About the Role

As an AI Cloud Platform Engineer at Beam, you will play a pivotal part in the development and maintenance of our Beam AI infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our AI platform, implementing automation, and optimising cloud resources to support the seamless deployment and operation of our AI Agents. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great products, has strong leadership skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.


This position requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and DevOps practices. You key responsibilities will entail the following:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure to support AI applications and services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into cloud-based platforms.

  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of AI systems.

  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability.

  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the AI development lifecycle.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in AI, cloud computing, and DevOps.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes..

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Golang.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins).

  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for tech.
